Two wood-fired ovens have been specially built by Alf Armstrong from Cumbria. Well-known author, food campaigner and founder of the Village Bakery, Andrew Whitley, has been a founding consultant.

Head Baker Roman Kucharski, along with second baker Matthew McCarthy, are now crafting organic sourdoughs and traditional breads from the finest ingredients.

Our bread is made


  • With only flour, water, salt and sometimes a small amount of yeast
  • Without ‘improvers’, additives or processing aids such as enzymes
  • Using organic flour nuts, fruits, vegetables and fats
